Return to NAF

NAF – Play With It & See!!!

If you are learning NAF and are comfortable with the proportining system and how NAF nozzles work, operating aan aspirating foam nozzle will do no harm – so a good way to learnall about NAF is to get out and “Play With It & See” what it does and does not do.

Water (W) + Concentrate (Conc) (=Sol) + Air (A) + Agitation (A) = FOAM.

Foam is Bubbles and Bubbles is Water!!!

Do not change the formula but you can change the input parameters.

W (Water) – play with the volume and pressure adjustment: what does it do for NAF? Is the foam super wet? Is it dry? Is it moving too fast to adequately mix witht he air?

CONC (Concentrate) – Adjust the % – start with the recommendations and go up or down from there. Will it get too low to make foam or does it make better foam @ higher %’s? Or, are you just wasting concentrate? It’s never wasting when learning is involved.

A (Air) – what is the outcome by adding more or less air? Do reduce the air, use a gloved hand to cover some of the air intake holes. Try several nozzles of different diameter. How does this change the foam?

*A (Agitation) – what happens if you don’t agitate or if the nozzle doesn’t seem to agitate enough? If this is a homemade nozzle, can you increase the agitation medium?
