This gauge is a great indicator that the system is functioning normal or not. Air compression causes heat. The heat exchanger cools the heat. If the temperature gauge is registering hotter than normal during operations, immediately begin a system diagnosis to identify the problem. Did the water tank run out of water? Is the clean out trap (wye strainer) plugged? Can I correct this quickly during operations? If not, the system may be heated for a compressor overheat emergency. Notify the interior crews and then if the temperature continues to rise, shut of the compression (unload mode) immediately and continue in Foam Solution mode. If there is water in the tank, and the cleanout trap (wye) is clear, notify your F-7 certified EVT mechanic.
