On December 16, 2010, the CAFS unit placed at Fairview (Sta 27 Samaria) responded to a double wide mobile fire at 440 Tom Adams Rd. Fire and smoke were showing from the front of the home in the kitchen area. A 1.75’’ hose 150 foot in length was used from the front bumper of the unit. The water valve was opened to discharge 100 GPM at 100 PSI with the foam system turned on. The air valve was opened all the way. The initial fire attack showed 53 gallons of water and 0 to 0.1 gallons of foam. After overhaul a total of 81 gallons of water and 0.2 gallons of foam were displayed on the foam system. The amount of time from hose deployment to extinguishing fire (excluding overhaul) was less than 5 minutes. Two firefighters made entry and quickly extinguished the fire. After the overhaul was completed, there was minimal water on the floor of the home. Station 27 - Samaria
